About Us

Ballyheigue Community Centre, located in the heart of Ballyheigue, County Kerry, is a key hub for community activities and social engagement. It offers a variety of programs for all ages, including fitness classes, workshops, and social events, ensuring there’s always something for everyone.

The centre is well-equipped with a hall, meeting rooms, and a gym, hosting activities like yoga, pilates, bingo, and local events. It also supports seniors with its "Young at Heart" daycare, offering meals and social activities.

Run by dedicated staff and volunteers, the centre collaborates with local organizations to provide services like "Meals on Wheels" and respite care, fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment that promotes well-being and community spirit for all.

Recent Building Improvements:

Discover the extensive improvements and updates we've made to the Ballyheigue Community Centre over the past few years, enhancing our facilities to better serve the community:

• Meeting Rooms: Renovated with new tables, curtains, and a fresh coat of paint.

• Hall: Added new stage curtains, blackout blinds for small windows, re-sanded and relined the floor for basketball and badminton. Installed new gas heating and lighting.

• Laundry: Equipped with new washing machines.

• Gym: New flooring installed along with all-new machinery and equipment.

• Storage Rooms: Additional storage spaces have been added and updated.

• General Maintenance: The entire building, inside and out, is regularly repainted to maintain a fresh and welcoming appearance.​
   

Future Projects:

• Fundraising: The centre is currently fundraising for a new roof for the dance studio and gym.
